This Diamonds Shinin ~ 2015 AQHA Black Mare

Perky, very friendly personality. Extensive trail experiance. Really moves out and gets you down the trail but not hot. (May overwhelm a timid or inexperienced rider simply do to her joy of life.) Stands 14.2 hh well built, straight legs and good feet. Trailers well, good with her feet and other horses.

"Diamond" mistakenly believes that she is in a Hollywood-horse-movie, and acts like she's the "magical star of the show". Literally, this horse behaves as if there are cameras on her, and the heart warming scenes are scripted!

Storytime by Elizabeth - "The first in-person impression I had of Diamond soon after she joined the ranch: Abi & I walked out behind the barns to see a newborn foal. Morning fog faintly diffused the horizons but it was easy to see the remaining hills of the pasture in the cool, early light; we finished with the newborn and all was well, so I took a deep breath to appreciate the scene as we started back. Suddenly, a ringing neigh echoed in the faint mist, and I froze in my tracks, unused to this and instinctively wondering if something was wrong. But nope! Just the black on one side of the distant mare herd had lifted her head and called... and promptly launched forward into a rolling gallop toward us. S he brought the rest of the girls with her, but kept the lead as she thundered through the lush grasses and powered toward us, ears pricked and focused.
I immediately concluded she might be coming to mess with the baby, and mentioned something to Abi, but she just shrugged. "No. That's Diamond. She does this."
Before our exchange could be over, the black mare thundered straight up to us, dropped to a trot for a slight curved entry, and walked the last few steps to put her face within half an arm's reach of my chest. She halted, blinking long lashed eyes at me.
"Well, hello." I laughed a little, and reached up to skratch her jaw and chin, she just heaved a big breath blew and softly through her nostrils. As I moved away she kept pace with my shoulder, insisting that I pay attention to her further awhile... so I did, and once satisfied, she dropped away and went back to grazing with the rest of the mare herd.
I couldn't believe it, after a decades spent around literally hundreds of horses, "I've never experienced anything like That!"
"Oh, yeah, Diamond just does things like that!" Abi shrugged with a smile.

And she does! Ever since having her. Its boggling... and so entertaining! At random times, she will see something of interest, raise a ringing neigh, and lope off toward it looking exactly like she expects cameras are trained on her. Such a picturesque creature, Diamond majors in being majestic!"
