A new era for us as we get to stand a fantastic, "old bred" stud, as part of the Double K Ranch breeding program! As the horse operation matures into this new phase, our goal is to share the best, most dependable temperaments we've found [in all our years of training outside horses as well as the many horses the ranch has owned.] Our perspective when selecting breeding stock is: they have to be truly outstanding to deserve a place in the pasture!
Our corner stone began with two blue roan sisters to "Rip Romp Terry" (watch video!) (many remember him by his barn name "Sage") the highselling horse at Superior Auction's live sale on RFD TV 2014. We figure the world needs more just like him; gorgeous horses with "do anything" temperment and trustworthiness.
In addition to great attitudes and workability, we're thrilled to have pre-programed color on the outside of terrific dispositions, making a ranch horse which can perform correctly, safely and with savvy, while looking stunning!
If you want to get a training horse lined up, call to get on the schedule! We enjoy working with our horses, & take pride in how well they learn; from halter breaking youngsters, building a strong foundation of good manners, starting a colt under saddle, overcoming shyness or fear, taking a bit or handling responsively in a hackamore, to trimming hooves and fitting shoes. Training must be built on trust and respect. Our greatest compliments come from our clients, and we love to hear the things they have to say about our horses. |

Make The Right Match Everyone has a personality, and it is so very important to be certain that those personalities match. We try our hardest to listen carefully to both the people and the horses so that we can know who will be a good match for each other. If you've ever spent a day on a horse who was 'not for you'; I think you'll agree. Double K Ranch is currently located in the ranching area out from Springfield, Mo. |
